Kel MacDonald
Kel MacDonald is a performing artist residing on the unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinabeg. Kel’s Master’s thesis, LIVE BED SHOW, uses vinyl turntablism to examine trauma’s ability to distort and erase autobiographical memory (University of Ottawa, 2021). Recent credits include work with The Precariat (co-founded in 2018 with Hilary Peck), Skeleton Key Theatre, Fresh Meat Festival, Strata Inc., and the Great Canadian Theatre Company. Kel’s artistic work is supported by the City of Ottawa, the Ontario Arts Council, University of Ottawa, and the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas.
